Ms Susan DAMACENO
English Teacher
An English-speaking teacher at Genesis International School since it opened in 2023, Susan is the architect of our British immersion programme. She instils in our school the high standards, refinement and rigour of the British academic tradition.Linguistic Excellence: Susan has laid the foundations of our English-language curriculum, ensuring fluent bilingualism at an academic standard that exceeds national expectations.

As co-coordinator of the Cambridge Programme and language integration, Joanna brilliantly oversees the delivery of the British curriculum and the assessment of pupils’ learning at the end of each school year.Integration & Confidence Programme: As a specialist in supporting non-English-speaking pupils, she employs a bespoke methodology to help pupils become fluent in the language and build absolute confidence in themselves.

Ms Haijing XU
Mandarin Teacher
Passionate about teaching and sharing knowledge, Ms XU supports our pupils from Year 1 right through to secondary school. She opens their minds to the beauty of the Chinese language and culture, at the crossroads of literature, movement and the arts.Movement and the Written Word: With great gentleness and patience, she introduces our youngest pupils to the delicate art of calligraphy. This unique moment in the classroom is not merely about learning to write: it is a genuine means of personal development that fosters calm, concentration and a sense of pride in creating.
On the Path to International Qualifications: This year, she is preparing and encouraging our pupils to take on exciting academic challenges by sitting the official YCT (designed for young learners) and HSK (a global benchmark) examinations. This is an excellent way to recognise their efforts and boost their self-confidence.
An Encounter with the World: Beyond words, Ms XU shares Chinese traditions, poetry and history with the children. She offers every pupil a vibrant cultural journey, essential for growing up with curiosity in today’s world.
